What is it?

A flow is ear- or collar-length hair that falls back behind the ears and can flick up slightly at the ends. It isn't a stiff style: the point is that the hair falls well on its own with very little product. It's the flow haircut Budapest guests ask for when they want length that still looks intentional.

How we cut it

The hardest part of a flow is the growing-out phase. During that time we don't cut the length off – we shape it so it looks good at every stage. We layer with scissors, take weight out at the nape and behind the ears so the hair can fall back, and we don't cut sharp lines into it.

Styling at home

Towel-dry, add a little sea salt spray and push it back with your fingers or a hairdryer. If the hair falls apart, a touch of matte pomade helps. It doesn't need to be perfect.
